Robinia monster truck

The Monster Truck is based on something children are familiar with from their everyday lives: the car. Its shape is easy to recognise, but the large wheels and striking design spark curiosity and make it more than just an ordinary drive.

Here, children can get behind the wheel, change gears and imagine that the journey is taking them out into the big wide world. Perhaps the car has to drive through mud and over mountains. Perhaps the journey takes them on a safari, through the town or far out into the countryside. The framework is clear, but the children decide the story themselves.

The driver’s seat is packed with details that make the role play more realistic. The steering wheel can be turned, the gear lever can be moved, and the dials give the children something to keep an eye on as they go. A radio panel mimics the experience of tuning into different frequencies, whilst the mirrors make the driver’s seat even more recognisable.

The car also features activity panels that allow children to pause and immerse themselves in the play. On one panel, children can trace the shapes of numbers using a movable marker. On the other, they can turn discs along fixed tracks. Among other things, the activities help develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, and offer multiple ways to use the play equipment.

The Monster Truck is well suited to themed playgrounds, childcare centres, parks and other public outdoor spaces where role play and imagination should have a prominent place.

The structure consists primarily of robinia wood combined with stainless steel. The play structure measures 453 cm in length, 208 cm in width and 281 cm in height.
