Obstacle course – balance beam in stainless steel and HPL blue

A balance beam is an essential piece of playground equipment for any playground where movement and motor skills are in focus. As children balance down the beam, they must keep their focus as they put one foot in front of the other. A moment of inattention and they have to step up and start again.

This balance beam has a length of 203 cm, a width of 12 cm and a height of 30 cm. It is constructed with a stainless steel boom that is solidly mounted in the ground. The top consists of an HPL plate with a milled pattern that gives children a secure foothold.

The long, narrow surface invites play and experimentation with balance and movement. How fast can you balance? Can you dance while doing so? By playing on the boom, children strengthen their body control by adapting and coordinating movements and maintaining focus. All qualities that strengthen motor skills and self-confidence.

The balance beam's simple design in robust materials makes it easy to integrate into different outdoor spaces. It can be used as a standalone piece of playground equipment or as a connecting link in a larger motor skills course.
