Obstacle course - circular horizontal climbing net robinia
Our architects wanted to create an exciting play equipment that was also developmental for the youngest children in the playground. The result was this horizontal crawl net, shaped like a spider web.
The net is made of taifun rope and stretched between six robinia posts.
The rope allows for wild play and use as children bravely jump and crawl from side to side. The child can also try to balance as they walk on the net.
This challenges the child's ability to balance while playing. Trying their hand at balancing gives the child better body control.
When the child notices what works, they will also want to try again and again, and perhaps at a faster pace and with a higher level of difficulty.
The child might have started by crawling across and end up being able to run across.
When the crawl net is added to other obstacle course elements, the obstacle course becomes bigger and more exciting. For example, the net could be combined with balance posts or a balance beam.
The obstacle net is made of taifun ropes on robinia posts with a height of 0.45 metres and a diameter of 3 metres.
