Carousel - pirouette larch and steel

Simply designed pirouette and carousel with a platform diameter of 0.3 metres and a height of 1.5 metres.

The column is made of glass-blown AISI304 stainless steel and the platform is made of a double layer of larch. The mechanical turning mechanism has low friction with maintenance-free bearings and reinforced steel shaft.
The carousel is EN 1176 approved as a play equipment for the public outdoor space e.g. school playgrounds and park facilities.
The platform’s wooden surface has a natural look and also helps develop the tactile sense. When children stand barefoot on the pirouette on sunny days they can feel the warmth of the sun’s rays, and on rainy days they can feel the water running between their toes.

As the child spins around, they experience the feeling of creating rhythm and play using their own body.

Strengthens the vestibular Sense
Spinning around strengthens the vestibular sense, also called the balance sense. This sense is an important one to train as the ability to balance well results in body control and self-esteem, as well as energy to focus on other things, such as the social side of the game.
