Lothepus Camping

At Lothepus Camping, children and adults can step into a vibrant and adventurous Viking world filled with play, movement and shared experiences. The play and activity area is inspired by Nordic mythology and offers a wide range of activities for children aged approximately 2–12 years, with space for both calm exploration and energetic play.

For younger children, a charming Viking village awaits, designed to encourage role play and sensory-motor development. Here, children can build, play in the sand, explore the playhouses and ride off on horses, while adults can relax in nearby seating areas.

The adventure continues along a rushing river featuring balancing and play elements, hidden weapons and imaginative Viking journeys that lead to the large, swinging Viking ship. The ship accommodates many children at once and offers both exciting movement and calmer areas for rest and social interaction.

At the heart of the playground stands the large, custom-built stave church – the central gathering point and an impressive climbing structure with multiple rooms, levels and challenges. Inside, children will find climbing nets, ladders, climbing walls, a fireman’s pole, mirrors, speaking tubes and a wide slide that invite active and varied play. Adjacent to the stave church is a large rope swing, as well as a centrally placed jumping pillow, bird’s nest swings, trampolines, seesaws and a Viking-themed balance area. The entire space is designed to support relaxation, social interaction and quieter play, with plenty of seating as well as barbecue and dining areas.

Overall, the project creates a unique playground experience where play, imagination and togetherness come together – making Lothepus Camping an attractive and memorable destination for the whole family.
