Papirøen
Elverdal has created small play and activity areas on five different roof gardens, which are primarily aimed at children in the age group 3-6 years.
All roof gardens have activities tailored for young children. One roof garden also has exercise facilities and accommodation for adults. This allows parents to engage in physical activity or relax while their children play nearby.
The design focuses on creating natural and sustainable playgrounds, where the elements are primarily made of wooden materials. Emphasis has been placed on avoiding artificial coverings, which ensures a closer connection to nature.
An exciting aspect of the project is the use of recycled wood, which supports a sustainable approach.
The play areas are designed with children's motor development and well-being in mind, while also providing an opportunity for relaxation and activity for the adults.
The overall goal is to create an environment where both children and adults can enjoy time on the roof gardens, surrounded by natural materials and sustainable solutions.
