Swing - tyres A-frame robinia and steel h 2.4m
Our architects have designed this double tyre swing for the public outdoor space, such as picnic areas, schools and parks. The swing is one of several models from the Organic series. This model has legs made of robinia wood while the crossbar is made of galvanised steel. The height of the play equipment is 2.4 metres.
The seats on this model are tyres. There is room for the child to swing on their own, or with friends. The swing set has always been a key play item in the playground.
Swinging improves learning ability!
The sense of kinesthesia/ position improves through swinging. But why is that important? A fluid inside the ear is set in motion when the child does things like ride on a swing. The main balance sense registers this movement, and the brain links this information with information from the body's muscles, joints, etc. and sends messages to the proprioception (sense of position). Muscles, joints and tendons receive the messages and begin to move. When these body functions are trained, the balance ability and motor skills are improved.
This means that the child gets better and better at keeping their balance and has more energy to concentrate on other things such as learning. The swing is an ideal play item for training the sense of balance. Read more about the senses, play values, etc. here.
The swing complies with the EN1176 standard and is certified.
