Swing set - bird's nest, classic and tyre A-frame larch and steel h 2.1m
Elverdal's architects have designed this compact swing set with a bird's nest swing, a classic swing seat and a tyre swing. The many swing options make the design suitable for outdoor spaces with multiple children, e.g. schools with an after-school facility, parks or in a picnic area.
The three swing seat hang from stainless steel chains, where the posts are 2.4 metres high and made of larch wood. The larkposts of the swing sre mounted on steel feet. The play equipment complies with the regulations in the playground standard - EN 1176.
The wood has a natural look that fits in well with a nature playground, where the swing set easily 'hides' among trees and other plants.
The important play values
Swings are known for bringing children together, and playgrounds with swings are always popular, which is why we think that swings belong in every playground.
This swing model has many functions and just as many play values, which makes the playground even more interesting and fun to play in. The children can choose to swing alone, or the play equipment can also serve as a setting for social communities. As the swing set has several different types of seats, it provides more choices and the opportunity for several types of communities. The tyre swing is great for when two children want to swing together, but is equally good for a smaller child wanting to swing next to an older child on the classic swing seat. Social skills come into play here, but a swing ride also strengthens the sense of position. You have to move your legs to find the right rhythm. The child trains their movements and then their self-esteem grows.
