Swing - bird’s nest A-frame robinia and steel h 2.1m

This bird's nest swing is mounted on a steel lintel with robina wood legs, providing a light, modern look with the contrast between the steel and natural wood. The height of the swing is 2.1 metres but is available in several models - see all swings here.

The bird’s nest swing is a popular and ideal play item for the public playground, such as in schools or day-care centres. There is plenty of room for everyone to join a ride on the swing.

The child improves their learning ability!
The sense of kinesthesia/position improves through swinging. But why is that important? When the child swings, a fluid inside the ear is set in motion. The main balance sense registers this movement, and the brain links this information with information from the body's muscles, joints, etc. and sends messages to the body’s sense of position, its proprioception. Muscles, joints and tendons receive the messages and begin to move. This means that when these functions are trained, balance ability and gross motor skills improve. When the child improves their balance, they also increase their ability to focus on other things such as learning. So, the swing supports learning ability.

When we design playgrounds, we always think about incorporating as many play values as possible to support the child's development. If this sounds
interesting, you can read more about the senses, play values, etc. here.
