Carousel - sit HPL and steel Ø 1m

We have designed this carousel and it is made in Germany.

The supporting parts and axis are made of glass-blown AISI304 stainless steel, and the platform is laid with ‘anti-slip’ HPL. The mechanical turning element has low friction with maintenance-free bearings. The carousel measures 0.4 metres in height and 1 metre in diameter. The carousel is EN 1176-approved for use in all public areas e.g. school playgrounds, parks and rest areas but also in the outdoor space of housing association.

The materials used give the play equipment a lovely, simple design.

Focus on the senses!
Every kid loves to play on carousels - we get that. On a carousel you can play together or on your own, go really fast or just lie quietly looking up at the sky. The options are endless, which is why most playgrounds have a carousel.

Carousels are not only fun to play on - they also develop the child’s basic motor skills - both the tactile sense and the vestibular sense, when the child plays on them. For example, the feel of the warm wood on a sunny day stimulates the child’s tactile sense.
However, carousels are best known for strengthening the vestibular sense (the sense of balance). Spinning around gives the child a sense of rhythm and timing in relation to their body’s movement, e.g. when their leg sets the carousel in motion. Spinning around strengthens balance and provides better body control as well as self-esteem.
